Job Description

Improve and guaranty the product quality.
You will oversee QA engineers and manual testers distributed across three product teams, each including a PM, ~8 developers, a manual and an automation QA.

Your mission will be to create, implement and maintain the QA Strategy and to participate in building new automation frameworks and maintaining existing ones whilst handling the career of your direct reports.

The current development process is extremely “developer-centric”, you will have to help the team to transition to a more quality oriented process. Our current QA stack is using Javascript, Playwright, Superclient, Locust, Lambdatest, GitHub Actions, Allure reports. The QA team is composed of 6 people, 1 manual tester and 1 automation per product.

The applications are built with React, Typescript, Google Apps Script, Firebase, Node JS, Java and PostgreSQL.
The infrastructure runs on Google Cloud Platform, and more precisely a mix of Google App Engine, Google Apps Script, Firebase RealTime Database and PostgreSQL among others.

You will will work closely with the Product and Dev teams and report directly to the CTO.

Responsabilities

• Taking full responsibility of QA activities for all Talarian products from an technical and execution perspective
• Leading, mentoring and growing the QA team
• Owning the planning, staffing and QA processes
• Adhere to timelines and execute in a fast-paced environment
• Improving QA team processes and productivity
• Providing KPI and metrics to follow QA activities
• Make sure that the manual testers do their job properly
• Writing automated tests
• Create a QA road map
• Define the indicators and missions of the QA team
• Ensure that the functional coverage of the tests is correct
• Reporting on kpi
• Ensure communication with product teams, and between teams
• Supporting recruitment

Wanted Profiles

• 4+ years of exp. as a QA AND 4+ years of exp. managing or supervising a software QA team (preferably for SaaS products)
  • You have a broad knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies, tools and processes
  • You know how to provide detailed reports on the work of your QA team
  • You consider yourself an organized person
• Exp. with one of these cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure (preferably GCP and serverless)
• Exp. with typical tools (Github, Confluence, Spreadsheet)
• Exp. writing E2E tests and API tests
• Exp. interacting with non technical teams
• Strong verbal and written communication
  • You are able to stand your ground in order to prevent the release of a broken update.
• You care about words and grammar, you are sharp and thorough
• Fluent spoken and written English (French not required)
